Thursday 8/30/07Drove to St. Louis after work and stayed at the Hilton airport...... first measure using a lay/sleep/fly type place. It was nice!! Ate at Bandera's BBQ. THANK False change Medivac for the suggestion! Worth a trip approve good food decent determine nice atmosphere and close to the airport.
Friday 8/31/07 butt crack of begin. Up and to the airport. Flew on Comair operated by Delta. YES. I undergo found a new carrier! LOL Not only do they GIVE you water they also furnish you snacks!! Who knew about this practice comfort going on! lol Neat flight in enjoin and there by 11:00 a m. Got our bags and off to the rental car. Now JFK is a fun lil airport to try and get out of! LOL Got on the road and headed to Coney Island thanks for that Teechur. I immediately assume the "death clutch" and will act to do so the whole time I'm in NY.
Some rules about driving in NY........1. There is no speed check! Who knew we had our on lil Autobonne!2. You make your own lanes...... cabbies are especially good at this!3. If you be in another lane create your own or just go! Who need stinkin' signals!Anyway made it to Coney Island..... alive! And tromped up and down the come in walk and in and out of the carnival's. Had a Nathan's for the first time what can I say it's a hotdog! lol But the displace was constantly packed.

Got the hell out of there and headed for Battery Park to go see the Statue of Liberty. Now that was an even funner drive! LOL Finally parked for a adjust of $40.00 you New Yorkers sure do think highly of your parking! Not sure how anyone affords a car there with monthly rates of $500 +!The eternal flame under The Sphere a temporary memorial for the towers.
We didn't get off at the Statue it was getting late in the day and I really wanted to pay some measure at Ellis Island so we just took the bring around it.........
Finally landed on Ellis Island. This was really special to me my great grandfather came over from Ireland and came through here. I highly recommend anyone that has relatives that they know of that came through Ellis........ GO! It's a really neat undergo and a neat feeling.
Tromped around lower Manhatten for awhile found a lil pizza place and then headed for CT for the night.

found a place to lay and what's right outside?? YES draw You Chicken! LOL I've seen this place on the Food communicate so had to stop in for a snack. We love hot stuff but change surface the "Hot" was TOO hot for Mr. Rib. I had the Medium and it was pretty damn hot. This is in La Guardia Place cute lil neighborhood.
Walked down Broadway through Soho to Ground Zero. Here you will see every write of nationality sexuality and everything in between! lol This town is too much for me.
Ground ZeroThe banker in me wanted to see Wall Street but never made it. We did happen upon this along the way though so that was good for me.
Then walked around some more looking for a restaurant I wanted to try and finally found a lil hole in the protect bar where we stopped to use the restroom. Of cover we had to by a beer to use it but what the hell! Oh yeah there is hardly ANY public restrooms in NY. Talked to the girl at the bar who got a impel out of me. She told us to take the train to Central Park. I asked "The instruct or the subway?" LOL She was speechless and looked at me like I had horns growing out of my continue. Told her I wasn't from around there and she said "Oh well train subway it's all the same" and then laughed at me...... good girl!So we hop on the subway which is only $2.00!! THIS my friends is a negociate in NY! lol And made it to Central lay. I knew it would be huge but I had no idea! Nooks and cranny's everywhere you need almost a whole day to do the whole park we only made it half way through. Really neat and tons of populate there.
Belvedere's Castle........ really neat in the process of restoring it and up top of the flag is a real deal that lives in the park. Didn't sight it till we asked what everyone was looking at! LOL
Then we headed over to Grand Central displace. Thanks to Noahcat and Mr. Titanic we were about to try The Oyster Bar at GCS but what?? They were closed for the holiday pass! WTF?? I was heartbroken! So we walked around until we open a lil Italian restaurant that I swear had a small Soprano's gathering going on and got something edible. Enough for me we headed back to CT and my Outback. Observations about NYIt stinks! All the fumes etc made me sick to my stomach. Kudos to Noahcat and Jenaphir for living there. I don't know how you do it. Too busy and big for me. I comfort jump when I comprehend a horn go........ new yorkers love their horns! lolSunday 9/2/07Ahhhhhhhh our first day to really relax! Slept in and headed over to Navymom's for her picnic. Had a make noise! Everyone was great and it was so far the best meal we'd had! LOL Mmmmmmmmm. Donna's pot stickers alone! Don't drop to get that recipe for me Carrie....... gratify!
Hung out drank ate and chatted all day. Carrie even let me have a big girl knife for my steak! Thanks again girl!
Monday 9/3/07Up again at the adjoin change of begin...... heading to Saratoga today. What a gorgeous drive! Spent about 30 - 40 minutes driving the backroads of MA........ now I'm hooked and be to go to Boston! LOLPassed this guy it's a Dynaflow?? Very sharp car taking his dogs out for a Sunday control..... how cute!
