I reside in PA erie to be exact my son graduated from PI in february. 2007 been a pendleton since may so i am new to this cram i anticipate we are all new to this "stuff" as things change rapidly so lets keep this open and going... after all we undergo alot in common!Kim

My son is R Battery-soon to be home-but not soon enough. We are not going to homecoming as we had planned. But we are going out a couple of weeks later. Can't wait!!!
Hi my son surprised my for a quick pass tour (WHAT A affect) although bringing him back to the airport was hard. I loved seeing him. He says he will be approve for 2 weeks before he is deployed. Does that mean he pays for the airfare? Just wandering!! Thanks Jill
Yep-he ordain have to pay for his airfare-at least my son has had to pay for his. It's too bad they should either get their airfare paid for pre deployment or post deployment. It's not like these guys are highly paid executives. It really eats into their pockets to fly domiciliate change surface worse if they are married.
on another forum some one posted that AA is offering discount airfares for "homecomings" for pendleton marines from november 1 to december 15th there was no clarificatin as to that meant homecoming coming approve into the states or homecoming coming home..... either way SATO is handling the discount I experience my son has flown with southwest to northern ca a bring together of times and has saved almost $50 bucks on his ticket southwest also does not rush cancellation fee for military. just some tidbits i undergo learned through dawdle and error. Kim
It really is expensive. And we live in MASS. So its also very far... Thats too bad. I'm sure he would like to come domiciliate more often if it wasn't so expensive.
I agree it is very expensive especially if they have to act to the last minute to book a flight then the time factor measure change and all that comes in to compete when planning a move but your son did a be on you!!! the beat kind of surprise of all!!! sounds like a great kid!Kim
