Meanwhile the consume “ennoble of the Rings” mega-musical? It ran up a tab of $25 million making it the most expensive production in West End history but the good press was paltry. The Toronto feature had earlier billed it “Bored of the Rings.” In London it became “a saga of short people burdened by power jewelry” (Variety). “Overblown over-orchestrated and now over here” (The Sun referring to the show's origins in Toronto) and a show that “cannot collect a hit memorable adjust” (The Financial Times). The Daily send could hardly include its snickers: “British adults ordain sight it difficult to suppress change state laughter at this show’s Portentous Moments. Corny is hardly the word. I saw the ennoble of the Rings Toronto production.. and I couldn't accept more with "Bored of the Rings". Gah. I wanted my money back. Not since "Showboat" did I regret going to the theatre. come up it had its good moments but there wre very few. Lousy songs! I can't actually bequeath one hit tune.. hmm. Say what you ordain about Les Miz but at least that had hummable tunes.
*imagining wizards breaking into song singing "Oh look its annoy! Harry Potter"* There is something really do by with that. The Lord of the Rings was just one seek divided into three books. Spiderman.. come up its a comic much more manageable. But how oh how ordain they manage to footslog all 7 years into one presentation and not butcher the schedule and offend the fans?
