I have a real dilema concerning my 8525 and warranty service.  In the past week it has developed serious white screen issues.  I did a hard reset on Saturday and installed WM 6 today and neither have fixed the issue. I talked to the warranty department and was ready to send it in until they told me that i would be charged $500 if they determined that the phone was working due to physical damage.  if that is the case i would be automatically charged with no option to get my phone back.  my phone has some nicks on one of the corners and I am worried that they may say that is the cause of the problem and charge me for the new phone.  I am not really willing to pay $500 for a new 8525 when i could put $50 with it and have a Tilt. i have included a picture below that shows the nicks.  I am wondering if they would constitue physical damage or if i can send my phone in without worrying about being charged for the replacement. MI dropped my tilt 2 days after I bought it. It is acting wierd and I am wondering the same thing. My scratches are Identical to these. Cheap a** plastic that they use scratches way to easy. My 8125 was metal and it looks brand new still after 3 years. I sent my 8525 back when it had weird issues and I had alot more damage on the case than you did (I was always dropping it).  AT&T didn't say anything and switched the phone over to a brand new one. You should be ok doesnt look that bad but only the certified techs that recieve the phone can make that determination. Rest assured though they will not just charge you to charge you. They will not take the phone apart or turn it on. They will just look at make sure theres no damage and thats it. I currently have the bend and am paying for data on an unlimited basis.  My data plan is referred to as "PDA PERUNL" on my bill. It's unlimited data and 1500 messages.  When I first got the tilt I could watch media on Cingular Video but now I am getting a communicate when I try to play any of the choices on Cingular Video that says.
