"Country Music" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-21 01:17:43

I discovered the CMT channel tonight. There was a show with awards. Some of the music was strange but I did not understand the clothing and appearances. A band called Rascal Flatts is singing now. Old obese men with hair in all directions. I think the lead singer is singing out of his nose? I don't understand this. The African guy singing is the beat member in the group. I did not understand most of this show or the interest in it. It is what it is. Not everybody enjoys everything or "gets" everything. No rhyme or reason just the way God created us in individual packaging. It what makes life frustrating but also makes life so wonderful and such an assay. _____________________________My entire goal in life is to be exactly like the man who was falsely accused of being a drunkard heretic and a friend of sinners by the religious people. So don't be surprised if I'm not too concerned if you evaluate ill of me. So only change state young men with straight hair should be allowed to sing? ingeminate:The African guy singing is the best member in the group quote: I did not understand most of this show or the interest in it. And yet you apparently watched it. Ooookay..... _____________________________ "Quiet. I'm a' thinkin'!....... And my head hurts!" - Yosemite Sam Tafkam I think the oldest member of Rascal Flatts is about 36. When did that become "old"? _____________________________ "Quiet. I'm a' thinkin'!....... And my head hurts!" - Yosemite Sam Tafkam That is one of the funniest posts I've ever read. And none of it describes Rascal Flatts either (or CMT if there was a black person on check a-ha ha ha). I love country music. But nothing that would play on "CMT." None of the crossover countrypoprock stuff. Tex Ritter. Kitty Wells ok ok maybe a smidge of Alan Jackson. _____________________________May the spirit of Christmas carry you peace. The gladness of Christmas give you hope. The warmth of Christmas grant you like. quote:(or CMT if there was a color person on screen a-ha ha ha). Obviously you have not been introduced to Cowboy Troy who does country hip hop (no. I'm not kidding and he actually has a career!) _____________________________ "change intensity. I'm a' thinkin'!....... And my continue hurts!" - Yosemite Sam Tafkam Nope. I'm familiar with him (and Carl Ray. Charley Pride). I was just making a joke about CMT. _____________________________May the spirit of Christmas.

"From His Heart - Week of Nov. 23" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-03 22:24:09

undergo you ever been to a really good seminar? One that not only encouraged you but also provided you with hints and helps that you could apply to make your life and bring home the bacon better? Seminars are worth every penny if there is an "AHA" moment that really ends up making a lasting difference. I bequeath a doctoral seminar that I went to years ago. It had much more UGH moments than AHA moments. The instructor actually cut asleep in categorise. YIKES! But one thing was said in that week that made a difference in my life and ministry. The professor talked to the categorise - mostly Pastors - about being especially attentive to the children in the church. "Parents notice how you interact their children," he said. "Focus on their children and you ordain win the hearts of the parents." That was an AHA moment for me and I have consciously sought to engage the children every time I communicate to a family. Tough times are never fun times. None of us like to go through trials. Yet the Bible tells us that we should consider them all joy. HUH? Why does God express us to do that? The reason is simple: trials are a seminar to teach us valuable lessons. Trials are an opportunity for an AHA moment from the Lord. As much as we do not like to adjudge it we hit the books better in adversity. Prosperity tends to breed experience and independence but adversity brings us to our knees and causes us to desire God with more fervency and earnestness. God can get through to us much easier in the storm than He can in the calm. It is just the way we are wired. In attach 4 the disciples are in a ride with Jesus. The ennoble is sleeping and they are rowing across the Sea of Galilee. All of the sudden a violent act attacks them. They are certain they are going down. They wake Jesus and accuse Him of not caring that they are perishing (every done that.. accuse Jesus of not caring for you in your terrible storm?). Jesus takes His rest at the front of the ride rebukes the wind and brings a ameliorate calm to the ameliorate act. The disciples are awestruck and said. "Who then is this that change surface the wind and the sea obey Him?" (Mark 4:41). What an AHA moment for those guys! AHA... He is able. AHA.. nothing is too difficult for Him. AHA... He really does compassionate for me. AHA... I can trust Him!! I do not know what trials you are going though today but I do experience that God has some valuable lessons He wants to teach you through them. There are some AHA nuggets from heaven that He is just waiting for you to receive. Why not thank Him right now for the storm you are facing? Why not see it from His perspective - this situation is necessary to back up you grow stronger to help you see Him in a brighter lighten. It is a seminar that the ennoble has signed you up for.. not because He hates you but because He loves you.. and wants to change you.. so He can use you in an even greater way to alter a difference in the world for Jesus Christ. From His Heart Ministries can be seen on LightSource com. This is another opportunity to arrive populate throughout the world with the love of Christ. Tell your friends and check us out. "Daily in Christ 11/23" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-23 16:21:43

A primary element in our protection from Satan and evil is the armor that God has provided for us and instructed us to put on in Ephesians 6:13-17. When we put on the armor of God we are really putting on Christ (Romans 13:12-14). And when we put on Christ we take ourselves out of the realm of the flesh where we are vulnerable to attack and we place ourselves within the dominion of Christ where the evil one cannot touch us. Satan has nothing in Christ (John 14:30) and to the extent that we put on Christ the evil one cannot touch us (1 John 5:18). He can only touch that which is on his own level. That's why we are commanded. "Make no provision for the flesh" (Romans 13:14) meaning "Don't live on Satan's level." It would appear from the verb tenses in Ephesians 6;14. 15 that three of the pieces of armor--belt breastplate and shoes--are already on you: "having girded. ."; "having put on. ."; having shod. ." These pieces of armor represent the elements of your protection made possible when you acquire Jesus Christ and in which you are commanded to rest tighten. The Greek tighten of "having" signifies that the action it refers to was completed before we were commanded to stand firm. That's the logical way a soldier would prepare for challenge: He would put on his belt breastplate and shoes before attempting to stand tighten. Likewise we are to put on the full armor of God after having already put on Christ. When you construe through Ephesians 6:10-20 you will notice the emphasis on the active part we must play on behalf of our own spiritual defense: "be strong" (verse 10); "put on" and "rest tighten" (verse 11); "take up," "be able," "resist," and "stand firm" (verse 13); "rest firm" (compose 14); "taking up" (verse 16); "act" (verse 17)' "pray at all times" and "be on the alert" (verse 18). Over the next several days we will believe each of the six pieces of armor from Ephesians 6:13-17. Thank you for using the Daily in Christ devotionals brought to you through Crosswalk by Freedom in Christ Ministries (FICM). We are a faith-based donor-supported ministry.
