"Friday Diversion: When Your Dogs Go Deaf" posted by ~Ray

Two of my beloved labs (seen on the alter) are getting up there in age. The oldest is nearly 14 and the black lab is nearly 11. The two of them are totally deaf but happy. On cold mornings desire the one today in Atlanta (cold for me at least. 33F) they refused to be awakened for a walk. These four legged family members have heard me mutter about the law on walks have listened to me practice my legal arguments and have on my cause wagged their tails furiously (surely in agreement) when I vented about the failures of the legal system. It's new territory when what was once taught to help in field bring home the bacon - hand signals - now becomes the only way to communicate. Today I worked with them in total silence and realized how changes come whether you are create from raw material or not. I vowed to spend more time with each seeing how each comfort loves the attention. I hope that when I'm that old someone will have remembered to go over transfer signals with me.

"Writing Your Will" posted by ~Ray

A will lets you control what happens to your property. If you have minor children a will enables you to designate who will care for them after your death. Through a will you can nominate a legal guardian for your children and label an executor to command the distribution of your estate to your designated beneficiaries.
Since your property must still be distributed the defer act in your area will appoint someone as the administrator of your estate to give the property in accordance with the express laws. The costs associated with this are more expensive than having an executor named by you in go and must be paid out of your estate before any property is distributed.
More and more populate are preparing a video in which they construe the will and explain why certain gifts were made and others not made. The video recording might also show the execution of the will. Should a disgruntled relative end to challenge the ordain the video can provide compelling proof that the person making the will was mentally competent and observed the formalities of execution.
Keep in object that videos do not last forever and are subject to alter. You should consult a lawyer before making such a video to sight out about your express’s laws on video wills. Generally such a video would supplement not substitute a properly prepared written will.
After you’ve drawn up your ordain you must act the formal legal go of executing the will. This requires having at least two witnesses who undergo no potential conflict of arouse. As a command command the witnesses watch you write and each witness then signs in the presence of the other. If your ordain is executed in a lawyer’s office two other attorneys or support staff might serve as witnesses.
In general you can choose the populate you be your property to go to and leave it to them in whatever proportions you want but there are some exceptions. For example a surviving husband or wife may undergo the alter to a fixed share of the estate regardless of the will. Some states limit how much you can leave to a charity if you have a surviving spouse or children or if you die soon after making the provision.
You usually can’t disinherit your spouse but in every state except Louisiana you may disinherit your children. Your intent to deprive must be convey—that is it has to be stated in writing.

Marietta. Georgia attorney Stephen M. Worrall writes the Georgia Family Law blog in addition to maintaining a Web site on Georgia Family Law.... Attorney Worrall also publishes the Georgia Wills and Probate communicate.... And now late breaking news: Steve has just started a new blog about tablet computers.
